Terms & Conditions

Osito Engraving — By placing an order with Osito Engraving, the customer agrees to the following terms.

Design Approval

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing and approving all proofs prior to production. Once a design proof is approved, Osito Engraving is not responsible for errors including spelling, grammar, dates, layout, or design details contained in the approved proof.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon delivery or pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing. Orders will not be released until full payment has been received. Ownership of all products remains with Osito Engraving until payment has been received in full. Osito Engraving reserves the right to require deposits or full payment in advance for large, custom, rush, or bulk orders.

Fraudulent or Suspicious Payments

Osito Engraving reserves the right to refuse or delay orders involving suspicious payment activity. Orders paid by cheque or electronic transfer may be held until funds have fully cleared the financial institution. Osito Engraving will not forward, redistribute, or transfer funds to third parties on behalf of a customer under any circumstances.

Production & Timelines

Estimated completion dates are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Production timelines may vary due to order volume, equipment maintenance, material availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. Rush orders may incur additional fees and must be confirmed in writing.

Design Changes

Design revisions requested after proof approval or after production has begun may result in additional charges and revised timelines.

Custom Product Policy

All engraved products are custom-made. Because of the personalized nature of the work, all sales are final. If an error occurs due to Osito Engraving during production, we will repair, remake, or replace the item at our discretion.

Engraving Variations

Laser engraving interacts with natural materials such as wood, slate, leather, and coated metals. Variations in color, contrast, grain, texture, and engraving depth may occur and are considered normal characteristics of the process.

Customer-Supplied Items

Items supplied by customers are engraved at the customer’s risk. Osito Engraving is not responsible for damage that may occur during engraving due to material defects or unpredictable material reactions. Compensation for customer-supplied items will not exceed the value of the engraving service performed.

Artwork & Intellectual Property

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to reproduce any logos, images, trademarks, or copyrighted material provided for engraving. Osito Engraving assumes no responsibility for copyright or trademark violations related to customer-supplied artwork. Artwork preparation, vectorization, or design services may be subject to additional fees.

Shipping

Once an order has been shipped or delivered to a carrier, Osito Engraving is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by the shipping provider.

Abandoned Orders

Completed orders not picked up within 30 days may be considered abandoned unless prior arrangements have been made.

Photography & Portfolio Use

Osito Engraving reserves the right to photograph completed work and use images of the work for portfolio, marketing, advertising, or social media purposes unless the customer requests otherwise in writing.

Limitation of Liability

Osito Engraving’s total liability for any claim related to an order shall not exceed the amount paid for the engraving service. Osito Engraving is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.
